Class Styles

Hatha/Yoga for Athletes

This class is suitable for all levels, but is geared towards anyone that is new to yoga, returning after some time away, or recovering from an injury.  We will move at a slow pace and focus on correct alignment while stretching the hamstrings, hips, shoulders, and spine.  Expect a gradual warm-up, a series of standing poses, and gentle backbends. 

Slow Flow

This class is for the beginner yogi that has a basic understanding of alignment cues and can transition from the floor to standing with ease.   It is taught at a moderate pace and may incorporate balancing poses and full sun salutations.

Vinyasa

These classes are taught at an intermediate or advanced level, appropriate for those who have had a regular practice for at least six months.  Expect to move at a slightly faster pace, with transitions linked to breath.  We may practice a combination of postures that include balance and strength, backbends, and inversions.
